Fundraising...

The committee work hard through the year to raise funds to provide for our children.

In 2003 we tried out a Fashion Show. A parade of quality ladies clothes, which received huge support and gave our piggy bank a huge boost.

Many donations and sponsorships are received from business's and private individuals. Who we are grateful for their support and hope they continue to think of us in their future fundraising events.

Ideas for future events are always welcome as are donations to the group.

In 2007, we have enjoyed the Barn Picnic, Midsummer Madness, and The Big Balloon Release.

Help Required...

The group is funded purely by donations and fundraising activities of our Committee and group members.

At present we are spending money on Speech therapy, newsletters, website, swimming grants, horse riding grants, free tickets for child and carer on outings, school starter grants etc.

Since August 2005 the outgoings of our charity have far exceeded any income from donations and fundraising. We are planning to start charging parents for half of the cost of speech therapy; this will reduce expenditure from £300 to £150 per month on Speech Therapy. This will however not slove the situation fully, as we need money coming in.

Any money you can raise to help us no matter how small will help towards the running of your charity.

I have listed below a few ideas to get you started;

1. If you have children that attend nursery or school, ask the school if they would consider holding a fund raising event for us.
2. Hold a coffee morning at home
3. Ask friends at work to bake homemade cakes, arrange for them to be brought in and sell them during your coffee break.
4. If you work at a company that produces foor/drink ask whether they have any items that could be raffled within the office.
5. Carry out and event and get sponsored for it, this could range from a sponsored silence to a parachute jump!
